The company said Sunday that it had bid 1.238 billion Australian dollars, or $1.1 billion, for AWB, seeking to pre-empt the Australian wheat service company's already-announced merger with GrainCorp. Brent crude oil for September settlement was at $75.14 a barrel, up 3 cents, at 10:32 a.m. Singapore time on the London- based ICE Futures Europe Exchange. Nigeria oil sabotage 'increasing'
